No words can explain the liberty of being set free from the the bondage of drugs, alcohol depression. After crying out to the Lord Jesus Christ and experiencing His presence, my life hasn’t been the same. I began to receive a strong desire to read the Words of God. Jesus Christ said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.”(Matthew 5:6). The Holy Spirit begin to fill me with the truth of God’s Word and setting me free from addictions, traditions, depression and the gang life. I learned how God was wasn’t mad at me but rather, madly in love with me. After learning the forgiveness of my sins through my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross I began to weep. I was so grateful that I’m forgiven, but what really caused an extremely experience of joy was when I learned that God desired to live in me in 1 John 4. Today, I seek to help those in darkness and help lead them to the light. I want for young men and women who are in bondage to addictions and who are trapped in the gang life to experience the freedom from it all. A freedom that can’t be found in drugs, alcohol or anything else. Only Jesus Christ remove us from the powers of darkness, into God marvelous Light.
