Advice for the single

Updated: Apr 22, 2023

In Genesis 2:15-16 we learn 3 key things that Adam had before God brought Eve into his life. He first placed him in the garden (Genesis 2:15) so Adam had a home. A woman needs security, so bringing her into an environment where she is honored (1Peter 3:7), nourished, cherished (Ephesians 5:29) and loved makes her feel secure. God gave Adam a job (Genesis 2:15). When a male has a job and provides his wife's necessities, this reflects our God who is Jehovah Jireh (the Lord will provide). When a male doesn't work, he reflects the devil who is a taker (2 Thes. 3:10). Then He gave Adam a command, meaning, Adam knew God's word and had fellowship with the Lord God. If a male doesn't know God's word then he's unable to sanctify you and love you the way that Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25-26). So, just because he looks good, has a nice vehicle and is popular, doesn't mean he's the one God has for you.
