ANGER ISN'T THE PROBLEM, SUPPRESSION IS
• UNPROCESSED ANGER BECOMES RESENTMENT.
When our souls are not healed from what angered and hurt us, we hear differently. Meaning, you hear words as an insult or attack.
• UNSPOKEN ANGER BECOMES DISTANCE.
Many today are not speaking to people who angered you.
• STORED ANGER BECOMES DEPRESSION.
You constantly ponder on what made you angry. So when you ponder on the things that hurt you rather than casting the thoughts down and bringing them in line with Christ (2Cor. 10:3-5), we loose the joy of our salvation and don’t experience the peace that’s in Christ. With no peace and no joy, others don’t see Christ in you, they the situation that angered you.
• IGNORED ANGER BECOMES OVERREACTION
The outburst of rage comes from anger that has been ignored.
